NEW WORKS THEATRECRAFT
SPRING Camp Sunday 25th September – Friday 30th September 2022
Part of the Positive Start Youth Camps.
The Final camp for this year sees Allambee Camp presenting Theatrecraft Youth Unlimited (TYU) Spring school holiday program September 25-30!
Please check if you might be eligible for Funding through Positive Start, but if not you may attend as a self-funded participant. This camp is for keen young creatives to learn skills to develop and create new and innovative theatrical works in a relaxed and social setting.
Further develop your skills in theatre performance, voice and movement with likeminded people from all over Victoria. At this camp we will use a range of performance making approaches including scripted and non-scripted elements. You will be led by industry professionals with diverse industry experience, and a passion for developing young artists.
If you are NOT eligible for Positive Start, then self–funded, your participation fee covers the program expenses, your food and accommodation, and specific non public transport as needed. BYO Myki in case we have a chance to use public transport for some special event.
BLOOMING : DEVISED OR ENSEMBLE BASED
Learn more about the process of developing a performance through workshops in:
- Devising and Rehearsal Skills
- Play building
- Includes an informal performance outcome based on some of the work created in the Winter intensive.

**$600 participation fee – Some scholarships for part fees ($200-$250 are available by application. Please contact Joanne for more information)

- This program will build on scripts/ideas that have filtered through since Autumn.
- Use of filming and transcribing to capture improvisation and text.
Create a compilation/functional record of the works in progress and consideration of potential for future development. This written and visual record will be available for sharing and or future development for performance. Of course contributors will be appropriately acknowledged as part of this process.
Amongst the leaders for this camp are Andrew Davies, Sam Dolan and Sarah Hartnell.
