Synopsis
On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend – almost – in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

Characters Summary:
We are looking for 4 – 8 actors within the age range of 25-45 years.
Characters Description:
Almost, Maine is made up of nine short plays. Each one has a different set of characters with only two characters appearing in multiple plays – all others are unique to one of the plays.
This is a true ensemble production – each actor will play multiple roles, across different age ranges.
Each role will offer something different – the main thing we are looking for are actors who can show clear character differences and have a talent for black comedy. Interested actors must be comfortable with staged physical intimacy & unconventional stories.
Please note Standard American accents are required.

All auditions are by appointment only, in small groups (2 or more people). Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete paperwork.
To express your interest in auditioning, please forward a short CV and headshot by email to laurachaela@gmail.com by no later than Thursday July 25th, specifying your preferred audition date (unless booked out, we are happy to accommodate your preference).

Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday & Thursday evenings (7pm-9.30pm) & Sunday afternoons (3pm-7pm). There will be a read-through on Tuesday August 6th, with rehearsals commencing Sunday August 11th.
All rehearsals will be at the audition venue (Fleigner Hall). Auditionees must be available from Sunday October 6th - Sunday October 13th for Tech Week.
