Synopsis

When a country house weekend takes a turn for the worse, Bertie Wooster is unwittingly called on to play matchmaker – reconciling the affections of his host’s drippy daughter Madeline Basset with his newt-fancying acquaintance Gussie Fink-Nottle. If Bertie, ably assisted by the ever-dependable Jeeves, can’t pull off the wedding of the season he’ll be forced to abandon his cherished bachelor status and marry the ghastly girl himself!

Based on P.G. Wodehouse’s The Code of the Woosters, this fast-paced, farcical comedy celebrates the iconic double act and promises a confidently charming piece of entertainment.

AUDITION DETAILS:
• Location: 36 Turnham Ave. Rosanna, Vic (opposite Rosanna Railway Station)
• Accents: Standard British accents, feel free to play around with them.
• Format will be Group auditions. You will be asked to read one or more scenes from the play. The scenes will be provided at the audition. Be prepared to stay for a couple of hours if needed.
• To register for an audition, please email the director (morgantc94@gmail.com). In your email nominate the session you wish to attend (see above) and the part/s you're interested in auditioning for.
• Each accepted applicant will be emailed an audition form to complete. It would be helpful if the completed form is emailed back prior to the audition
• We request each auditionee include a named, recent photo (passport-size is ideal) in the email with your audition form, or when you attend the audition.

• Read-through of play with all cast: Sunday 27 October, 7pm [tbc: to be confirmed]
• Rehearsals: : There'll be a few rehearsals prior to the end of the year [tbc]. We'll then resume rehearsals in the first week of January 2025.
o Sundays [tbc], Tue & Thu evenings at 7.30pm
o Production Week: Sun 9 Feb (Tech, time tbc); 7pm Mon 10 Feb (Dress 1) and 7pm Tues 11 Feb (Final Dress). Preview Night Thu 13 Feb at 8pm.
