Synopsis
It is 1925, and the social season is in full swing. Wealthy, debonair young man- about-London, Lord Arthur Savile, is on top of the world. He is doted on by his elderly, aristocratic relatives, and engaged to Sybil Merton, the girl of his dreams.
At a party, his palm is read by a fashionable cheiromantist, who foretells that he will commit a murder. Horrified at the potential shame this will bring his bride, Arthur decides that it’s his duty to get the murder out of the way, discreetly, before he marries Sybil.
But, which of his relatives is the most expendable?
Aided by the services of his Jeeves-like butler, Baines, and a seedy German anarchist, with an array of guns, bombs and poisoned chocolates, Lord Arthur sets about his noble task – with increasingly hilarious results.

**Ages are indicative and approximate only. An actor’s true age may be different from the age of the character, if they look and sound right for the part. Please do not hesitate to audition because you are uncertain about the suitability of your age.
**REHEARSALS:
Routine rehearsals will be 7:30-9:30pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and 1:00-4:00pm Sunday afternoons.
The first read thru will be on Sunday 25 May 2025.
Actors need to be able to commit unconditionally not only for the entire performance season but also for all scheduled rehearsals at which their attendance is required.
**Please check that you are available for all performance dates before booking your audition time. Please also inform the director if there are any rehearsal dates on which you are not available. You must also advise if there is a possibility of you taking on professional acting work that may conflict with rehearsal and performance dates.
**It is essential that you are familiar with the play. Please download a copy of the script, and ensure that you have read it before booking an audition time.
**Auditions will be by individual appointment, at 15 minute intervals.
