Synopsis
A gender-bending, patriarchy-smashing, hilarious new take on the classic tale.
Robin Hood is (and has always been) Maid Marian in disguise, leading a motley group of Merry Men (only some of whom are actually men) against the greedy Prince John.
As the poor get poorer and the rich get richer, who will stand for the vulnerable if not Robin? What is the cost of revealing your true self in a time of trouble?
Modern concerns and romantic entanglements clash on the battlefield and on the ramparts of Nottingham Castle in this play about selfishness, selflessness, love deferred and the fight. Always the fight. The fight must go on.

We are looking for actors who can play comedy and drama. Ranging from Monty Python-esque to the most genuine, hearfelt, real, loving connections. However, some characters just need to be able to play some of those qualities.
All parts are race non-specific. For example, Marian/Robin need not be white for example. We are seeking a diverse cast. It would also be helpful to have transgender, genderqueer, and/or nonbinary people involved.
Auditions will be held individually at 15 minute intervals.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Auditionees are asked to prepare a 1 - 1.5 minute contemporary comedy monologue and a 1 - 1.5 minute contemporary drama monologue. Auditionees may also be asked to read a scene from the script - with time allowed to prepare.
If callbacks are necessary, they will be held on Sunday, 22 June from 2pm onwards.
