Synopsis
A chilling and sometimes hilarious two-hander set in the Swiss Alps, where the ailing, reclusive crime/mystery writer, Patricia Highsmith, lives with an impressive collection of books, and a somewhat sinister collection of guns and knives.
Pat’s solitude is broken when she is visited by Edward Ridgeway from her New York publisher, sent to convince her to write the final instalment of her best-selling Mr Ripley series. Edward’s stay stretches over several days and nights as Patricia struggles to start work. She insists that Edward dream-up the pivotal murder in the story. Their collaboration leads to a blurring of fiction and real-life, with a plot twist at the end of the play, which is worthy of the best of Pat’s writing.
