Synopsis
Written by John Misto, the play investigates the impacting journey two young women were forced to face, spending 1287 days in captivity in a Sumatran war camp during the second world war. The play explores the retelling of their stories through a television interview 50 years after the event. Bridie (Military nurse) and Sheila (traveling civilian caught up in war ) share advice, happy and traumatic experiences with deep feelings. Set two is in the motel room that the women share where evident tensions prevail.
